Is it just me, or does the Oppo Find X5 Pro have the worst battery in existence, even when it launched and was brand new? At most (during normal usage) it lasted me about 2:30hrs on average, but this number was sometimes more or less depending on what my phone felt like doing.

As well as this, I have to travel long lengths to shopping, and in most scenarios I'd leave my house with 100% and make it back with about 30-45%. I've even lost the ability to scan my train tickets through the barriers at some stations thanks to this.

the processor it uses, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, is pretty notorious for poor efficiency. I have a phone with it and it heats up a lot (battery reports 45C) from more demanding tasks (such as gps), battery life isn't the best either.

That said, my battery life has not been as bad as yours... 2:30hrs seems quite poor.

I agree - I've heard from others that the Snapdragon 8 G1 is quite power hungry and not very power efficient, especially for a SoC that was hyped by Qualcomm when it came out.

The battery life on my Find X5 Pro I believe to be linked to age. My dad owned this phone before I did so it had about a year or 2 of use which could have degraded the battery over time.
