"everything is political" is a phrase designed to reduce the actual meaning and implications of the word politics. That said, I agree with the point of your message

No, it's a phrase meant to demonstrate that "no politics" is a rule only usable by people whose existence isn't political. Straight white men existing is not political, but when women's rights, immigrants rights, LGBT rights are all under attack by the right wing, suddenly their existence is "political" because their right to exist is actively under attack by the current regime.

Except, "everything is politics" means everything. It doesn't just mean everyone.... Basically, my disagreement with the statement is to say that gravity is not political
