MCR couldn't have inspired Stephanie to make her weird pedophilic Mormon dogshit. Don't blame Gerard Way for this.

What the fuck are you talking about?

Do you blame Scorsese for John Hinckley?

"Inspired by", does mean the inspiration is to blame for the outcome.

There's nothing relating to MCR that's even remotely similar to this. Only potential thing is "kind of dark aesthetic". As such, we should forget Twilight ever existed, and especially never mention it in relation to My Chemical Romance and/or Gerard Way.

never mention it in relation to My Chemical Romance

But "Vampire Money" is an absolute banger written specifically to make fun of all the other bands lining up to be on Twilight soundtracks while MCR turned down offers multiple times.

If you want more of this energy from MCR check out what they did for the When We Were Young festival in 2022. Merch, old age makeup, and an encore consisting of "Vampires Will Never Hurt You" followed by "Vampire Money."

I don't really disagree with you, and think she's off in her assement, but she has brought them up in relation to the writing:

This band is so in touch for me with Jacob's character. This really raw, uncontrolled emotion — where it's not about some person who's grown up and callused over and learned how to control things. It's someone who's feeling it for the first time and just wants to go out and blow things up. The song 'Famous Last Words' is a really romantic version of Jacob saying, 'Okay, I'm putting myself out there, and you're probably going to break me, but that doesn't change the fact that I'm still going to make the offer.

I wouldn't describe anything about the band as uncontrolled. None of the main members have done anything too crazy. Except for the one guy, but he was just a drummer for a few years. No sex trafficking, rape, cancellations, none of that. I think she's tripping, but anyways lol
