It may be very common these days that people alter their appearance through means of plastic surgery and what not. But it's perfectly fair to criticize this behavior. Of course South Park will grab any noticable feature and go over the top with it, so you shooting your puppy becomes you shooting puppies all the time, and you looking like a woman made of plastic becomes your face collapsing regularly.
Why is it ok to criticize "this behaviour"? How is plastic surgery anyones business but the one getting it??
You sure as shit dont have to hand it to matt stone and trey parker...
The time to pay soft-ball is long gone.
I'd argue criticising someones looks or how they choose to present themselves is the softest ball there is.
South park is meant to provoke, and that it did, so mission accomplished. Now Kristi Noem is in the news in a negative light, because she's a bad person. Making fun of her looks is just to get a reaction out of her because its so "offensive".
