Overview:
Electric Vehicles are a key part of our tomorrow and how we get there. If we can get all the fossil fuel vehicles off our roads, out of our seas and out of our skies, we'll have a much better environment. This community is where we discuss the various different vehicles and news stories regarding electric transportation.

Honda and Toyota appear to be EV-averse for some reason. Honda even recently reinvented the Prelude as a reincarnated CR-Z series hybrid. It would have made a perfect EV, but it’s not even an option.
I think Toyota dragged the industry in Japan towards hydrogen, which left them on the back foot when Korea and China went for battery.
Tbf, hydrogen makes the most sense for japan. Being an island nation, being reliant on access to rare earth metals for your transportation infrastructure is a bad idea. Though, why couldnt they invest in ev tech outside of japan... thats is a good question.
Toyota is a Japanese company, but they operate globally. How they can completely ignore such a big market transformation is beyond me. Same with American auto.
