What does it has to do to be at least a good game for you?

To be good? Bring back turnbased combat. So that will not happen.

The combat is one of the best parts of the remakes!

It kind of has turn based combat with the classic mode or what that mode is called, but i have never played it. Probably a stretch to call that turn based to be honest. Sounded very weird to be played auto and you just choose comands.

I actually completely disagree with this. I understand the sentiment, but I think the jrpg genre needs to push past it's 30+ year old roots. There are tons of games from indies to square that are still designed as turned based, but the new FF games are working towards something else. You can turn on a setting to make it more turn like, but I don't.

You seem to think that action is somehow an upgrade or evolution to turn based. That’s like saying that Hungry Hungry Hippo is an evolution of Monopoly.

Action and turn based are different gameplay genres. Changing the genre makes the game for a different audience.

Have you played Expedition 33? Would love to see more like that. Not necessarily the dark souls-esque dodge timing, but that willingness to tweak the genre

I haven't. Thanks for the recommendation.
