Idk what thoer license costs are, but i bet it's a little higher than a decade ago.

But... he'd rather make Eggrace? A game thats a carbone copy of ten other games? Ugh.

Also, this little aside is fucking gold:

Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson... recently suggested that Dragon Age: The Veilguard failed to meet the company's internal expectations because it didn't have live service components

When the CEO turns a blind eye to how bad the game was. The writing was like children arguing. The gameplay felt like a mobile game rather than a full RPG game.

The game is good. But prolly wouldn't attract the audience without the Disney license tbh

It's literally Overwatch. Which famously did great. Had there not been an Overwatch, it would've probably done great too.

To me it's frustrating how similar they are.. can't get into rivals. I swear even the voice actors were chosen to sound like overwatch.

So that's why he fired a part of the devs when the game is doing so well, he never wanted it to have a chance

Ding also apparently wants NetEase to focus on games like the multiplayer mobile game Eggy Party

Oh great, another remake....
