Okay it's not The Onion, but it is the Daily Mail.
~~Are you insinuating something?~~
~~This has been posted several times by several outlets and the articles are all clear enough:~~
~~The Department of Homeland Security is considering collaborating on a TV show (...) that would pit immigrants against each other in a contest to get their U.S. citizenship applications fast-tracked, a department official confirmed May 16.~~
Sorry, I just can't. With this government, you just cannot know, and discussing it is pointless. Hopefully you're right and nothing shakes out. Til then 🤐
I don't know if there are others that did a better job but the only source the USA Today article had was the Daily Mail, other than a quote they got from DHS which simply denies there's any truth to it.
The reporting states that the proposal has been submitted and had not been approved or denied. "it is being considered" could mean anything from someone there thinking it's a good idea and running it up the chain all the way to someone thinking," what is this shit," before stamping a denial on it.
Just go ahead and make "Ow my balls" and get it over and done with
How despicable. This is horrible.
They could restart KidNation with the child detention centers, they already don't even have enough staff to supervise them. Throw some cameras in there and boom, KidNation 2.0.
Vile and dystopian.
