Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Monday removed every member of a scientific committee that advises the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on how to use vaccines and pledged to replace them with his own picks.

The 17-member Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices had been in a state of flux since Kennedy took over. Its first meeting this year had been delayed when the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services abruptly postponed its February meeting.

DRAINING THE SWAMP

TO REPLACE IT WITH TOXIC WASTE!

[–] turtlesareneat@discuss.online 25 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Just a reminder, you can get your and your loved ones' immunity to various things tested and boosted now while there's still time. I found out I am no longer immune to measles at 42 and am getting boostered as there's a kid in my life.

We need a general strike

The cover story seems reasonable

"Kennedy said the committee members had too many conflicts of interest. Currently, committee members are required to declare any potential such conflicts, as well as business interests, that arise during their tenure."

But will RFKjr replace them with equally qualified, unbiased, incorruptible experts?

I doubt it.

Kennedy said the committee members had too many conflicts of interest. Currently, committee members are required to declare any potential such conflicts, as well as business interests, that arise during their tenure. They also must disclose any possible conflicts at the start of each public meeting.

This admin is nothing but conflict of interest, but yeah sure.

[–] Etterra@discuss.online 21 points 1 week ago (3 children)

Of course he did. Roadkill Fucking Kennedy is a goddamn idiot and is going to get thousands, maybe tens of thousands of people fucking killed.

[–] ipkpjersi@lemmy.ml 8 points 1 week ago (4 children)

Maybe even hundreds of thousands.

If at first you don’t get the answer you want fire everybody running counter to you and hire people not even holding a GED who swear by shooting bleach up your ass.

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

He just wants the safety of vaccines to be properly researched!* Honest!

*And not by scientists.

[–] GoobyMcMooby@lemmy.zip 8 points 1 week ago

Let’s give the reins to the guy with no medical degree who did unethical experiments on autistic kids! Doctors shouldn’t be experts! That’s elitism!

Weren't they saying good thing about vaccines a few week ago? After saying they were useless? After saying they were efficient? After saying they caused whatever? After saying they weren't against them? After saying they caused cognitive decline in kids? After saying they did not have an opinion? After saying they would not use them?

If a massive amount of people were not put in harms way by this senile sick idiot, it would be hilarious to make a montage of their interviews flip-flops.

[–] SinningStromgald@lemmy.world 12 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Can't wait to see what completly unqualified idiots he appoints to the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices.

Not at all religious, but the book of Revelation looks more and more prophetic every day...

[–] 4am@lemm.ee 11 points 1 week ago

Oddly enough, most of these fanatics either believe it to the letter or use it as a tool to manifest others into doing things in service of it coming true.

All you need for a prophecy to come true is enough people to believe it, apparently

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 9 points 1 week ago

If you think it resembles it at all, it's because the people perpetuating it are literally trying to fulfill it.

[–] person420@lemmynsfw.com 6 points 1 week ago

There's a term for this. A "self-fulfilling prophecy"

There is a TikTok beauty trend where stupid people are rubbing beef tallow on their faces. Is this why RFK’s face looks like it came out of a fryer?

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 8 points 1 week ago (3 children)

Behold, the face of health in America:

RFK Jr.

This is amazing. I am so glad we can rip this bandaid off. Now all the yuckles are gonna starve and pass from preventable sickness. Boiling away from short attention spans.

[–] voxthefox@lemmy.blahaj.zone 8 points 1 week ago (5 children)

Except urban areas are much more susceptible to contagious diseases, and tend to run blue. This seems to be a calculated attempt to cull urban blue voters.
