Finally we will know what happened between Empire and Wednesday.
There was this short indie film I saw years ago about bubble wrap, where it showed “the life and times” of a sheet of bubble wrap. They would show it going from one implausible scene to another and each time, no matter who was in the scene, somebody would have the urge to pop a bubble. I could see something like this being done with the lightsaber (not necessarily Luke’s hand, that’d just be weird). Show the lightsaber just going from one improbable place to another in the SW universe, and each time, somebody has to fuck around with it. They could even do a callback to ANH with Luke and have somebody look into the hilt and get their eye lightsabered out.
Every "Fuck around with it" should wind up with dead younglings
I guess since Snoke was a clone, he too was a youngling.

We laugh but Luke's cut off hand played a fairly important role in one of the book series.
