Not only are the countries he is saying have "fine" refugees don't even speak English as an official language, Africa as a continent has the largest amount of countries that speak English:

Most other African countries speak French, Spanish or another European language as an official language. So what is the issue here? Many Africans have immigrated to Western countries and have integrated fine. It's insane that Twitch is allowing this kind of rhetoric to be displayed in full velocity on this platform.

One thing I dislike about streamers is when you can tell they are using their voice in a "hey you should take me seriously, I am obviously right" kind of tone, and are good at that, but the actual words are just repeating a common opinion and devoid of much any substance or argument. Like they think adjusting the way they say something makes them more right.

Fear/hate sells.

Baffles me why would anyone watch him at all. Maybe people watch him to see him destroy himself as in many other cases online. It it is that, then fuck all those enablers and let their life be a soulless, joyless, empty life.

People connect with him because he feels relatable and "genuine" and if that boggles you, we who can type and read words vastly underestimate how powerful this kind of "don't give a shit how stupid people think I am" persona really is.

Why should we be at all surprised when people like Joe Rogan and Donald Trump himself are so popular with people for their "charisma." Charisma doesn't mean suave and smart, it means you can charm some certain segment of people, particularly those who can't tell the difference between confidence and dimwittedness.

Only heard about him for the first time recently, in the context of the Stop Killing Games initiative. He spoke in support of it (which is a good thing, yay), and is apparently involved in some way in the drama that gave SKG the boost it needed.

Trying to figure out who the hell he is and how he ties into it, I watched one of his videos on YouTube (reacting to someone else's video about SKG). Instantly got the impression that he's an asshole.. But at least he's on the right side when it comes to SKG.

He used to play world of Warcraft and seems good at it, at least in the old stuff. Then he got famous and now he’s the guy to watch if you like unhinged untreated mental illnesses. Beats me why anyone cares what this neckbeard thinks. It’s not like he’s done anything with his life

Skg is happy to have any support it can, just keep your cockroaches and dead rat alarm clock on your side of the infinitely wide room.

The part I like is that these fucking assholes will raise hell about "making things political!!!" if they happen to hear an opposing opinion.

I think they should all be hanged.

Most Americans barely speak comprehensible English. We tolerate that, so it's not much for them to do the same in return.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 9 points 1 week ago

that dint take long , on reddit where they were calling HASAN a hack, and was defending asmongold for being "real". they are all alike.

Considering Twitch is owned by Amazon, which is owned by Jeff Bezos, I don't think it's really all that insane that Twitch allows this. And I'm sure as hell that Asmongold has made statements more unhinged than this.

He's really trying for that Un-Evolved look.

He will get away with it just like last time by saying sorry I didn't know or read any facts, and was just going with my inner hateful ignorant racist genocidal feelings about other ethnicities whom I hate and wish the worst upon. Anyway, thank you for the $10000 donations XxReatrd420GamerxX

I've always felt this is not a bug but a feature of the system; This is me being conspiratorial, but I've seen this type of shit streamer suddenly get huge as they add a political turn on their discourse and it happens the most right before elections in "certain countries". It was obvious for anyone a couple of years ago when gamer gate found a resurgence. Call it free market, call it bankrolling by political parties But I am getting really tired of watching this type of political clown pop out, make a lot of noise and spew a lot of nonsense and then fizzle out.

Lol I remember Dunkey complaining about this guy and twitch streamers in general showing up to E3 because "The only Twitch streamer that plays games is Pete Dorr, and he wasn't even on there"
