I've created the Aro community on blahaj, but I've found there's just not much to talk about.

How do you talk about something you don't feel or do?

One thing I'd be interested in is research into the causes of aromanticism, but last I checked there's literally zero academic research that treats it as distinct from asexuality.

I expect a strong link with autism due to the involvement of oxytocin.
Maybe I should run a poll in aro communities to check my theory, but I'm afraid that sample size and bias would make the results meaningless.

Better colors than most country flags, smh.

And none of that "there's a cross on it to symbolize Christianity even though the actual country is now a mostly secular multicultural society" bullshit we have with (Fenno-)Scandinavian ones.

Also shouldn't you guys be due to a change? I have no idea how that cross found its place on your flags, but to me it seems that it needs to change to symbol progress and multiculturalism. Is changing flags that hard?

I think that the most recent flags came from revolutions or military uprisings.

Personally yeah, I think we should change it to something modern.

Like the fact that we somehow still have a royal family, though, I'm very much in the minority wanting to change the oldest national flag in the world to something that doesn't invoke colonialism and a state religion 😮‍💨

Ye. Kick those unelected sponges to the curb. I mean, we're technically a fucking monarchy? In 2025? That tracks, actually.

Still. That shit's gotta go.
