Duped out of an education that prioritises critical thinking skills by decades of vested interests.
I used to think that "the best way to have a controlled population is to have poor education" was a bit of a conspiracy theory in the 20th century. The 21st has corrected me on that one.
I agree. It sounded very conspiratorial in the beginning, but many of these people have expressed their preference for uneducated people now.
This dude sounds like one of those "I have a question... for a friend" situations.
Anecdotal, but living in a very conservative area as an engineer, most coworkers (especially my age) are very left leaning. It's the technicians and old farts close to retiring that still gargle trump's balls.
What happens when you elect the alligator to drain the swamp it lives in? Such a mystery. 🤔

This sounds like leopards ate Trump's face, if he was going to release the Epstein files then found out he was in them.

They voted for Trump to drain the swamp!? That is like voting for Epstein to end child prostitution.
It's not just Republicans, many independents (46%) voted for Trump, and millions of major party voters sat the last election out.
Independents are now the majority of voters at about 40%, D and R 30% each. I think it's because more and more people are rejecting our two-party system in the only legal way they can, anti-incumbency may be the new norm (I am an "I").
I am surprised that so many voted for Trump. A combination of contempt of government and news ignorance? If any voters "feel duped" I think the only explanation is that they are news-free people for whatever reason. Some people cannot deal.
