Old Reddit on desktop, but that's usually for modding or typing up longer posts. Just browsing I normally do on mobile, through Boost. If I have to mod on mobile, then it's a combination of Slide and RIF.
Technology
A nice place to discuss rumors, happenings, innovations, and challenges in the technology sphere. We also welcome discussions on the intersections of technology and society. If it’s technological news or discussion of technology, it probably belongs here.
Remember the overriding ethos on Beehaw: Be(e) Nice. Each user you encounter here is a person, and should be treated with kindness (even if they’re wrong, or use a Linux distro you don’t like). Personal attacks will not be tolerated.

I rarely use reddit directly. I mostly move around libreddit instances to view content and teddit to download videos.
Infinity for reddit if I really really really have to.
I'm mostly on Infinity. I won't lie, I enjoy the lack of ads. I think there's more to it though. The Reddit app never really felt right.
I use Apollo exclusively because i hate the website and the official reddit app. If they really do price out 3rd-party developers and apps like Apollo vanish, then I'll be leaving reddit. That's why I'm here. I'm looking for a new home :(
99% Bacon reader, 1% old.reddit
old reddit on web, and RIF on mobile. CANNOT tolerate the new redesign.
I used the official app for one account because I couldn't post videos to reddit in third party apps - woof that was painful.
I use old.reddit maybe 20% of the time and the RIF app on android about 80%. If I had the time I'd definitely be trying to build a RIF style app for Lemmy now that I've started to dip my toes in
On my desktop I use old.reddit.com with RES, and on my phone I make extensive use of Relay, which I absolutely adore. It's a pleasure to use.
Now I browse reddit 99% on my phone. I use mostly Sync and (sometimes) Boost.
mostly mobile with Boost for Reddit (Android)
I am mostly a web user, but I'm mostly at my desk, so I only use my phone for calls and texting.
75% Sync, 25% old.reddit
I only use reddit on PC through the browser client but i'm enjoying lemmy so much I actually dont use reddit that much anymore. Actually, I dont even use social networks a lot lmao
Apollo on mobile 95% of time, rest on browser.
I've only used Reddit through the old web UI for the past two years. Had relay for reddit on my phone before I decided to cut ties with how much of a time sink it had become for me to constantly open the app.
Apollo app at work and old.reddit with RES at home. My Reddit account is 10 years old. I saw the changes with the algorithm where news didn't make it to the front page of r/all unless sit was huge. I quit posting comments because by the time I'd make it to a post there would already be thousands. Not much community feel left so I think this API change was for the best.
old.reddit, through Firefox on both desktop and mobile for the same reasons as the OP, the adblocker. Sadly, old.reddit is painful to use on smartphones. Sometimes I just annoy myself off the site.
There was a time I used Reddit is Fun (RIF) but then I realized it was keeping me in reddit for way too long, so I uninstalled it.
Little bit of both. I used to use Apollo on mobile, but I was one of the unfortunate early users who got screwed over with constant ads later in that apps life which annoyed me SO MUCH OMG so I moved to reddplanet. And I love it! Cannot stand and will never ever again use anything by the Apollo dev. Extremely immoral. But I guess hey what do you expect. Shady devs be shady devs.
Old Reddit on web, bacon reader on mobile. I'd say browsing is 80%/20%, and posting is 100%/0%.
Old.reddit on desktop is what I used the most by far. At night I used Boost on mobile.
Anyone else like Stealth from F-Droid? I like RIF for moderating, but to scroll through Stealth won me over with no account needed.
Am mostly using sync. No ads because I bought it a looong time ago
I run libreddit, which is basically an alternate front end for reddit, on my own server so that I have a go to.
I'd much prefer to use something like this though where we have choice. :-)
old.reddit on the web most of the time. I use the fantastic reddplanet app on the go, but I guess that's going to be no app on the go now :/
Currently i have a pretty even split between web (old reddit+RES) and mobile (Relay), which looking at the recent API anouncements is going to change next month.
I use old reddit on the desktop and reddit sync on android.
Web. I wanted to force myself to use it less so chose to access it via standard website it was usable enough to pop on, but frustrating enough to not keep me there for too long.
I did use Libreddit for a bit, but the instance I was using seems to have gone offline so I just use it less frequently - aiming for not at all.
I'm using the Sync app, without it Reddit is a mess. I can't wait to see how it turns out for Reddit if they actually ditch 3rd party app support.
I used to use RIF and very occasionally desktop via a search engine.
I was 100% on Apollo. I can’t stand the extra stuff reddit has been pushing, and with Apollo you didn’t have to see it. I’ll be 100% off reddit after July 1st assuming they do nix third party apps.
old reddit on desktop and Apollo on mobile.
I really dislike the trend towards "dynamic" UI (not sure if that's the correct term, but basically New Reddit style vs Old Reddit). Everything using javascript and animations to load looks snazzy, but it just means that everything takes just a little bit longer to load, and that little bit adds up to a lot over time. I just want something simple where I click a link and it just loads, with a decent density where I can see a reasonable amount of information at once without having to click to expand every 2 posts. I'm on a desktop and not a phone for a reason!
I have moved to 95% web from 95% app.
On Apollo as well. It's the best way to interact with Reddit hands down. I've been seeing reddit's decline for a long time now though so I'm ready to move away from it as much as I can for the most part. Apollo had no ads so it was supreme.
I use web with adblock then Apollo on mobile. Sad times, saying reddit doesn't reneg, as the majority of my usage is on mobile. So many years spent within communities but it may just be time to move on!
I don't use it at all anymore. However if you'd like to continue to use it, id recommend a free and open source app that uses RSS called Geddit on F-Droid. It's more read only, but who wants to give data to Spez. Not I.
