For me, it's the 2000's television news opening from the belgian TV named "La Une". It rocks and brings back memories.

Batman Beyond came to mind right away.

@Merlu Scott Pilgrim vs The World title card with performance

Best intro song? FIrefly.

Stuck in my head forever (and still amazing 30 years later)? 90's X-Men intro.

Nothing recent that I can think of, so you get the kid-me version:

The BBC Chronicles of Narnia series from the late 1980s:

The Legend of Prince Valiant - 1990s

Gargoyles - 1990s

Gummi Bears - no not that one - the good one. The 1980s one sung by Joseph Williams from Toto (also singing voice of adult Simba in the original Lion King - which is a thing I didn't in any way just find out when checking his name. Nope.)

Game of Thrones always fascinated me. I'm a huge fan of models and the thing always seemed like a giant one.

It will always be TNG for me, but all the Star Trek shows have great intros IMO.

Definetly "The Lego Batman Movie": https://yewtu.be/watch?v=Tc8X8A-x9dc
I just love the humor of that movie

Good question. Usually the music is far better than the actual intro, Succession was a good example of that. 24's intro isn't much but it's unique and ages well because nobody likes sitting through TV show intros anymore.

I'd have to say that Whiskey Cavalier's intro is the best one I've seen, from what I can think of off the top of my head.

In the Heat of the Night. The original movie, not the TV show.

Fargo

It‘s not a classic opening credits but that’s what makes it so great. With many other shows the intro gets boring quickly.

In Jojo's Bizzare Advanture, once the season's villain has revealed their ability, the opening will be slightly altered to include it in a way that make the opening's cryptic nature suddenly make sense. Also, I love that by the end of a season, you suddenly realized that the opening was basically a giant spoiler that includes all key plot points, but you simply didn't notice until you actually watched the corresponding episodes.

Any Season of the Wire. Awesome show

Maybe not my favorite but the opening for True Blood

As soon as I read this, the song started playing automatically in my head. Along with most of the visual sequences, and Richard Dean Anderson's smile.

@Merlu Maybe opening of the Peripheral...The Amazon adaptation of William Gibson's excellent novel.

Not opening credits exactly but I really loved the recap thing they did in Ronald D. Moore's BSG. So much energy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPBzHa2PcS8&t=38s

I always get goosebumps when watching opening titles of Polish science magazine Sonda, from the 80s.
