The Reddit app sucks so much.

Literally, when I tried it it sucked my phone battery dry

Did you try watching a video on it? Bad idea

Hmm, what would be the point of reddit if you forgo video. The whole feed looks videofied. The new sub explore feature plays multiple videos simultaneously in custom cards for different subs if you try to explore subs based on category.

I have tried the official app 5 times. The experience sucked every single time. I cannot see any sane person using it on mobile. It's the worst way to browse reddit ever.

Can you avoid watching videos on it now? They always autoplayed for me.

And the website now won't remember my audio settings anymore, and all videos auto play and are unmuted.

I have no idea, I've switched to Boost a long time ago after not even a week of using the official Reddit app and I sure as hell won't ever switch back to that dumpsterfire of a battery charge vampire

Let’s not forget that, as bad as the UI on official Reddit app is, it also harvests tons of personal data for them to use or sell.

For a brief moment I forgot about the APIocolypse, and was like: Cool, an early Canada Day meme!

They could just make it avaliable for premium users like they would profit more.
