What kind of cat is this? It was taken behind a Chinese food restaurant in southwest Florida.

The person who took the picture said it's a Bobcat, but other people who've seen it have said it doesn't really look like one, and is probably something non-native. Anyone know for certain?

Definitely a Bobcat.

Wow this lynx looks nothing like the ones we have here in the Vancouver area (had to google it, I guess they're called "Canada Lynx").

Yeah bobcats here have wild variation.

Though it is worth it to say it is the peak of summer here, especially in the south. Bobcats here are sporting their summer coats while the picture of the lynx you linked looks like it has a winter coat on. Ours do change quite a bit for winter, though obviously more dramatically for the northern climates than Florida.
