Hi! I can't draw to save my life, but since I discovered colouring books (I didn't know they had them for adults, and especially I didn't know they made non-mandala ones!!!!) I've been feeling like a kid again.
I'm even using the same coloured pencils I bought and carried around since primary school.
I used Staedler Pencil Noris Colours and Royal Talens colour pencils, both packs of 24 colours.
So my message to any person that itches to create something but feels that it's a huge task (I got overwhelmed drawing), please do give colouring books a chance.
You can get nice colours for little money (I paid 7€ for the Royal Talens pack) and the books themselves aren't particularly expensive, especially if you are slooooow colouring like I am.
Don't be afraid to try something new, and don't let your age stop you from choosing cute books with huge drawings. Paint rainbows, colour flowers, take your time drawing sunglasses on the sun!!!
Yeah... Parents noticed something wrong too and he's being checked.
I have things for students of all ages that for whatever reason need to destroy stuff, and they know I'll give them the item they prefer no questions asked (but I'm always there to listen to them). Before I figured out why those students were behaving the way they were, lessons were miserable.
One day I offered a girl a tray of used paper sheets to shred instead of the textbook and it changed my life lmaoo
This kid is not destructive, so my usual tactics don't work. The bitter spray did, tho.
