Very nice. I have a similar project languishing on my poor, ignored workbench. You may have inspired me to change that. Good typing to you!

I am enjoying it a great deal. However, I did not play any of the previous iterations, so there is plenty of novelty for me. The trap mechanics are fun, and the Threads add some variety to specific runs, even though there are not that many maps at the moment. I have not had any technical issues, and playing in a friend-from-across-the-pond's lobby worked well.
Unfortunately the environmental impact depends on the processing used. The cheapest and easiest version is unfortunately chemically intensive and basically the same way they make rayon. There are other options, but then the price goes up. So extra due diligence is required if you are concerned about the impact of your bamboo clothes.
A friend convinced me to try out Orcs Must Die: Deathtrap. I get to play a snarky, dual wielding, bipedal cat. Silly and entertaining. Thought about grabbing the new Spiderman game on PC, but I think I am gonna wait for a couple of patches given the reviews. Have fun!
If you are into horror, you may enjoy The Locked Tomb series by Tamsyn Muir. Just be warned that we are still awaiting the final, overdue volume.
Yeah, not a BSoD. Just booted to BIOS.
Possibly, but for instance my 40 series has a single power connect and uses the crazy octopus cable, so totally different. I also did not see mention of your PSU wattage. Depending on how beefy the next card is, that might need an upgrade, too. You really don't need two separate cables for that card, in terms of power draw, though.
The 12 pin delivers more than enough juice for that card, so the single cable will be just fine.
Do you have Fluid Motion or some sort of frame fill/smoothing turned on? My understanding is that the in game counter would not detect the extra frames generated by Adrenaline.
I think folks would rather know. If it's a split group, you could tailor the invites to mention that it's also the other kid's birthday, but they have their own group of friends coming with gifts.
Cyberpunk. Lots to do, and ostensibly all the other video games in VR.
