Whether it be electronics, automobiles or medical equipment, the manufacturers should not be able to horde “oem” parts, render your stuff useless if you repair it with aftermarket parts, or hide schematics of their products.

This lawsuit will be dropped next week under Trumps new FTC chair. Instead the FTC will praise John Deere for this instead.

More shareholder value!

I am sure this is by design. The Democrats would never have prosecuted them whilst in office. By doing so now, they can let the Trump admin cancel it and that apportion blame.

This is not the sort of case you bring at the end of your term. You know, just like prosecuting the Orange-skinned insurrectionist

This isn't the Democrats, it's the FTC

Under Lina Khan's leadership they have been revitalised and started to act as an actual consumer advocacy and anti- monopoly organisation again. They have been prosecuting long-overdue cases since the start of her appointment.

True, but didn’t the Democrats leave it a little late to revitalize the FTC? We need more people like Ms Khan in politics…

I agree they use this to campaign on and nothing else. Got take in that sweet corporate cash.
