Did I miss the assault part? What was their objective? What were they going to achieve without weapons?

Their objective was to find rifles to use.

Well they are moving and under fire. It's an "assault" as they run away from the front line without weapons.

I am guessing it's like how the direct hits from drones never cause any damage to Russian oil or ammo facilities. It's always debris from a shot down drone causing the issue.

Debris causes the fires? I heard it always were smokers.
