Does anybody know of a proper alternative to Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV sticks, Roku sticks, etc.?

At the moment, I’m still using a Fire TV Stick with my old TV, but ideally, I’d like to replace it with something European. Is there anything?

Requirements are:

  • Runs a Jellyfin client
  • Apps for typical streaming services like Disney+, which I won’t be able to get rid of yet (I have people in the house who love Disney).
  • Wi-Fi, ideally
  • remote control so that we can control it easily from the couch

Nokia has one. Technically it's Finnish but there is some Chinese money involved.

You may be interested to know that while they're Nokia branded, the brand is just being used under licence. The actual manufacturer is StreamView, from Austria.

Yes by a company called HMD. They actuality continued the vision of Nokia and I think what they're doing is pretty good. They make a lot of feature phones and I owned the Nokia 8 which was pretty good for the money.

HMD have the licence for phones, StreamView have the licence for TV devices. They're different, unrelated companies, other than the branding.
