Or they could make it part of CBC’s/Radio Canada’s mandate.
I have long believed that the CBC's role should include making broadcast media accessible to citizens, but perhaps IT and communication services could be a new department. Internet is critical to both state and citizens, and should definitely be a government service! Oh, shit, I just got a cease and desist letter from Bell, Rogers and Telus the moment after I typed that sentence.
