While I'm all for electric replacing fossil fuels when it makes sense, this is just smugness. Lithium batteries are objectively just as dangerous to keep inside as a sealed tank of gas. People are rightfully scared of what happens when vape batteries and broken batteries rupture, it's foolish to pretend that EV batteries don't face some of the same risks. EV vs. ICE fanboyism isn't going to get anyone switching, the practical advantages of EVs will.
It was a joke about all the press the Bolt got. Im well aware of the risks of lithium ion batteries.
I got calls from concerned friends, and stopped by people on the road over the Bolt fire risk. I drive a Volt.....

Let's split the difference and agree that it's also dangerous to keep gas cans in your residence
