Oh man, that text sounded like him as I read it nice

my man, rod serling spittin' fire with every syllable.

His failed attempts to bring the Emmett Till tragedy to television forced him to get creative

from his wikipedia entry:

He was known as the "angry young man" of Hollywood, clashing with television executives and sponsors over a wide range of issues, including censorship, racism, and war.

Serling's combat experience affected him deeply and influenced much of his writing. It left him with nightmares and flashbacks for the rest of his life.[4] He said, "I was bitter about everything and at loose ends when I got out of the service. I think I turned to writing to get it off my chest."

Thanks for the article. Sterling's ability to touch on all the important topics through his writing was amazing.
