Actually pretty much all Linux computers run on Intel or AMD chips both of which have a firmware level backdoors in the form of the Intel Management Engine or the Platform Security Processor - so if you use a computer you pretty much can't avoid it - the best approach would then be to throw away all microchip based tech and start a sustenance commune to live off the land (until the techbros enslave you in their VR prison with the help of robotic AI mercenaries when the water wars start)
What is a linux computer? The linux kernel and Linux/GNU is a type of OS that can be installed on almost anything. Firmware present in chips has nothing to do with the OS you boot into. If the value of a position is to fix every problem with modern computer tech, you will always lose.
Someone who covers their drinks when you enter a room. Oh, wait, different stupid question: a computer running Linux.
That was their point, that almost all Linux systems run on hardware with that firmware despite many people thinking Linux is by default safe from that kind of shit
You said "if we were wise we'd all install Linux" not "we'd all install Linux on niche hardware"
You don't socialise well, do you?
Better than your stupid ass, for sure
