I read they had received arson threats. Their dog died in the fire. Then the dog's skull and harness were displayed like a trophy in front of the house.
It was premeditated, hate crime arson.
(Followed by murder)
Undoubtedly at this point. There's been a lot of horrific details coming out since I posted my initial conjecture. No outlet was reporting on the history of harassment at the time.
