How long ago did you get iso in there? If it was really recent, there's a chance it may evaporate and be good as new. If it's been a while, take solace in knowing it probably won't get worse, at least.
Ipa can leave a white reside. It doesn't hurt anything, but it might not fully disappear.
I would expect that at 70% or maybe even 90%, but 99% isopropyl should absolutely not leave a residue behind.
I used it for cleaning flux after soldering and it would sometimes leave a chalky white residue. It could have been the PCB reacting or other impurities. Anyway, the boss would sometimes complain about it, but they was what we had.
it leaves residue on the shell. or it has in the past. but that typically comes off with use. Not that the inside is going to get any use haha
Maybe an hour before that pic. it’s hard to see from my normal viewing angle so I’m bummed but it’s better than a brick. I have it off and hopefully drying but I’ll check back in on it in a day or two.
If it's 99% isopropyl then it's probably fine to leave it on now, as it has really low conductivity. The warmth from being on will also help evaporate it faster.
