Women only trans inclusive This is an inclusive community for all things women. Whether you're here for make up tips, feminism or just friendly chit chat, we've got you covered.

Rules…

  1. Women only… trans women are women, and transphobic or gender critical talk isn’t allowed. Anyone under the trans umbrella (e.g. non-binary, bigender, agender) is free to decide whether a women's community is a good fit for them.
  2. Don’t be a dick. No personal attacks, no aggression, play nice.
  3. Don’t hate on groups, hatefilled talk about groups is not allowed. Ever.
  4. No governmental politics, so no talk of Trump actions etc. We recommend Feminism@beehaw.org for that, but here is an escape from it.
  5. New accounts or users with few comments may have their posts removed to prevent spam and bad-faith participation.

I have natural curls so and they are very time intensive to deal with while really not lasting long. It really doesn't help that I have longer hair for the first time. i can't even brush it once it dried past a certain point and looks like complete mess after just two days. At least in winter I could just put on a hoodie to hide it, but in the summer there is no escape, I have to style it. And it takes 1-3 hours because I don't use a hair dryer. It's usually worth it tho at least.

Are you planning on donating?

I'll bet! I love curls but every woman I've known with them says they're a nightmare.

I did a few times when I was young and I'm on the bone marrow register. Tbh I totally forgot till you commented on it! Are you outdoorsy?

A nightmare sums it up pretty well. Nice that you donated. I'm definitely indoorsy, I'm just too light sensitive for the outside world. Also I need my skin as pale as possible for aesthetic reasons, I'm really into that corpse look.

Are you indoorsy, too?

[–] LadyButterfly@lazysoci.al 2 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

I'm definitely indoorsy! Don't like being cold, wet or uncomfortable and summer is my mortal enemy. I like the pale look too. Do you burn easily?

[–] Caitlyynn@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

I burst up into flames in about 1h, summer is pure agony. I use sunscreen almost every day I leave the house as part of my skincare routine. And don't even get me started on summer, I hate it, I've yet to come up with any suitable summer outfit so I resort to long pants and a Shirt, which doesn't look good either, maybe I'll figure something out for next summer, but I just really don't like showing skin. What's your summer struggle?

[–] LadyButterfly@lazysoci.al 3 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

Everything you described! I burn horribly easily and spend summer indoors draped over a fan. Plus it's light CONSTANTLY which I hate. Thank fuck for blackout blinds!

Do you watch much telly?

[–] Caitlyynn@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

I really should get one of those blinds. I don't watch any telly at all, I hate the volume of advertisements and usually half the stuff on isn't even worth watching in the first place. I'm a little internet pirate ever since Netflix enshittified, nothing professional tho Do you have a favorite show currently?

[–] LadyButterfly@lazysoci.al 1 points 7 hours ago

Ugh netflix really did get shit. At the moment no dramas are grabbing me, but I'm rewatching modern family which I really like. Do you have one?
