lived there, in a kibbutz, it was a nice place overall, except if you go where you shouldn't you end in the slum where the Thai workers live, they were really nice and had practical nothing.

funny how a kibbutz was supposed to be socialist and it relies on alienation of labour from migrants.

@Anomalocaris @IndustryStandard Kibbutz was from the beginning a tool of colonization, often established on stolen Palestinian land, always open to Jews only. overall, a colonial settlement with joint property and joint capital which was built on cheap labor from near towns and cheaper Palestinian labor, some times from the former owners of the same lands.

it's just crazy, that despite all the propaganda of them being socialists, they secretly rely on what it's almost slave labour.
