let's be realistic here. they're going to be released pretty quickly after he leaves office or he dies
Trump's not the only one in those files. There's gonna be lots of powerful people from both parties. If they ever get released, it'll be long after all the perpetrators have died.

Why do you think that's the case? Its extremely likely that democrats and their donors are implicated as well. The safer bet is that these files are never released.
There will be copies, and everyone in the files will eventually lose their power either by death or abdication.
They will be released eventually, time always wins.
It just down to whether you'll still be alive to see it
The only certain thing time does is erasing things. It may or may not uncover them first, that one is far from certain.
the donors of the gop and DNC have more to lose to have it released: hollywood execs(already implicated in various SA by actors), billionaires,,etc.

Leaves office? You think he's ever going to leave voluntarily he's going on about having a third term.
there will be a time where trump leaves office, if you disagree with that statement you must genuinely think humans can be immortal
He'll die sure maybe even their natural causes if we're unlucky but he'll not leave.
There's no scenario where Trump is still alive but not president.
Not unless there are mass protests that completely paralyze the country, which is why we should make sure that happens.
Or a hand-picked successor.
