I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but does anyone else think something is odd??

Not really.

This is just par for the course in conservative areas. I mean there are still anti abortion billboards in the less developed areas in those places even though it's legal.

We have a very carbrained culture and there is significant overlap with both groups. This is just a bunch of adults that can't stand someone getting an accommodation if it impinges, appears to impinge on their life in anyway, or it doesn't directly benefit them.

Automotive Lobby in action. Ever notice when someone kills someone drunk driving it's manslaughter and not murder?

Seriously if you wanna kill someone in Canada use a fuckin car and your biggest problem will be insurance.

because murder generally requires intent?

Could argue getting behind the wheel drunk is intent. They made the choice.
