This feels so real. I've been so traumatised by toxic bosses, every time my current boss calls me, I expect the worst, but it's actually just him checking on me and asking how I am doing, or that he needs my help with something. It takes a long, long time to get used to a decent manager.
Honestly, I've only had a handful of bosses, and thankfully, I can say none were truly toxic. With that said, I still feel like every time they want to talk is the day im getting fired, lol. My job is a higher anxiety type job where if things go wrong, you could be on the chopping block, so maybe that's it.
I wonder if there actually exist jobs in which i wouldnt be anxious or if im just anxious by nature in any job i get.
In 7 hours, I have to bring down an entire company for 2 hours to do a massive upgrade. I probably won't sleep tonight constantly thinking about if I missed anything that will cause issues and also praying everything goes smoothly. It's not my favorite part of the job, and I can't wait till it's over to relax.
