" the measure was prompted by India’s continued imports of Russian oil"

Europe slowed down Russian oil imports after Russia invaded Ukraine. If India wants to be treated equally, they need to condemn the aggression and reduce importing Russian Oil.

Russian Oil is cheap, India is poorer in terms of GDP per capita than most if not all of the major European Countries.

"let's support fascists murdering civilians and abducting children because we are poor"

Sound logic here, genious.

Your point is?

BTW I suggest you take this brain out of a box from time to time and try to use it. For example when you are typing.

Damn, you really thought was an attempt at a dunk worth posting

It's "genius" not "genious"; if you're gonna insult someone do it right.

Yes, cut Russian oil. They are driving prices down. I want to see The Line built and oil needs to be sold at higher prices for that and other projects to get funded.

Europe still gets a large chunk of gas from Russia. US gets fertilisers and uranium from Russia. Stop that and then spout your first world bullshit

I am talking about gas, not oil

However, the EU saw a rebound in Russian gas imports in 2024

[–] Blue_Morpho@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

The rebound is a small blip compared to the large reduction.

Look at LNG. It has steadily increased. Even piped gas was on uptrend in 2024.

[–] Blue_Morpho@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

I already showed the graph above. The tiny bump in shipped LNG imports does not offset the gigantic reduction in overall imports.
