Really? Please give me an example! I find chores to be just a drag (except sometimes tearing out a new recipe while cooking)
I insist on doing all the grocery shopping and dinner cooking.
I love to cook. Feeding people is my love language. I geek out hard. From mastering the French sauces to nailing traditional fried rice, to slow roasting meats overnight. The kitchen scraps go into stock so we've got a proper broth every other week. My family eats better-than-most-restaurants quality every night.
Then there's the logistics of shopping. I love to manage my kitchen and pantry for efficiency and capabilities. Being able to give the family a choice of what we're going to eat, while wasting no food, while only having to grocery shop twice a week. You should see how stocked my pantry is. I pride myself in being able to feed a dozen people well with little notice.
I should also add I'm the sole provider. I work my career during the day and do all this after that. My wife doesn't work, she's just mom.
Vacuuming is very fun ioo.
Cooking is fun because you get to do science, baking too! And you get tasty stuff at the end.
You can make a lot of cleaning products at home though the base ingredients maybe need to be bought at a store, saving money and time, plus the planet.
Washing clothes, doing all the organising and then putting them in a machine is fun, though this can work better as a team.
Organising all the trash into recycling and non recycling is fun, if you live in an area that does that, or reusing thing by cleaning them out is very worthwhile and save money, time and the planet.
Cleaning around the house and inside devices helps the house stay clean, people get less sick and it keeps devices functioning well.
Having everything clean and well organised is happy making and then everybody knows where it is!
Keeping drains unclogged is nasty, yes, but the reward is not having to be in a shower, or use sink that fills up with water that goes everywhere!
It's all about perspective!
You and I have veeeery different view on what is and isn't fun....
