I never did care for him.
Edit: I shouldn't assume he will negotiate with them.
I've never found him particularly entertaining, but that doesn't matter right now.
What matters is a fascist regime told the network to take him off the air because he doesn'tbend the knee, and the network. That's a direct assault on the first amendment by the government and a capitulation to fascism by the corporation.
Each day with this administration, the water gets raised a little higher than the day before as a new normal is established. But the dam won't hold forever, and the reaction to this is a sign of major cracks being formed.
I fear that soon, we may be forced to decide which hills to literally die upon.
My point is he's compromising. I'd respect him more if he didn't take them back.
Edit: I fully agree with your points
You don't know that he's compromising. That's definitely the image they want portrayed. Even if he says fuck you I'm gonna say everything I want and all my people stay on, they don't want to have the shit sandwich only in their lap.
That's true, I shouldn't assume.
Lemmy does have a delete comment option.
I know. But sometimes I prefer to leave it and clarify in replies or with an edit.
Maybe someone will see it and will therefore not jump to conclusions like I originally did.
