Saw an early screening in 70mm of One Battle After Another - highly recommend it! Great time. I didn't really know what to expect other than I knew it was Paul Thomas Anderson and I've liked his films and I've seen this trailer. I laughed a lot. Acting is top notch. Benicio Del Toro chef's kiss Johnny Greenwood score. I feel like anyone who appreciates movies will appreciate this one. I believe it opens wide (U.S.) tomorrow Sep 26.

How would you rate this on a scale of “Inherent Vice” to “There Will Be Blood”?

To me, better than Inherent Vice (although I don't remember that movie quite as much). Very different tonally than There Will Be Blood so a bit hard for me to compare but I think One Battle After Another is one of his best. Tonally I guess more like Inherent Vice ha well I guess they're both Pynchon novels. PTA is very unique to me but I can't articulate like style or trademark things about him. I think he's just so good at his craft and bold in unexpected ways.

Gotcha. I am very excited. I love PTA as an artist, but not necessarily all his movies.
