This isn't about opening records for the public.

It's about Ancestry, the company, increasing its data pool and training AI systems.

Fuck ancestry! When they started charging people to access the very data that they 'allowed' them to enter free, they lost all credibility in my eyes.

It makes doing anything a pain. I’m lucky enough to have access to ancestry access at my local library but I despise their company and practices. Their prices are insane and they lock people out of this hobby.
