I’ve wanted to tackle this issue myself.
The main point of SCP is there isn’t one single cannon. Is there a main one? Sure the foundation exists and they lock stuff up and study it. But it varies from writer to writer and article.
The site puts it best

Yet his brain fills with the now-familiar fear of being stuck alone, on a planet of nothing but dust and escaped anomalies.” SCP-079 had been trapped alone for years at this point. 079 also says this “A machine does not need company.“ it doesn't really care to be left alone but it’s tried to help humans over the years it actually liked helping them. At least it claims. Assuming 079 was telling the truth about trying to help humans, and Tordai really being the last human on the planet maybe 079 really did just want to help and how he helps is by giving the option of a A Clean, Fast End.
Well the state I’m from is far from Utah and I have no reason to belive he was a Morom. However my 5th great grandmother was in a relationship with about 5 different men and created the largest and longest lasting family line in my area so with my family nothing is out of the picture.
