Thanks for the explanation! But why did he have to cut this skill short? Also even if this skill shows the name of the other person I feel like it would be way more natural if she asked him if she can call him by this name or something like this. Calling someone by his name like they're long time friends just feels weird.

Looks like the World Eyes skill shows more than just Status menu. Judging from the scene, MC also saw, what I think, pieces of elf memory and that is why he cut the skill short. That may be also why they start calling each other their name as they've known each other.
