Low key I don't think you should've made a kid... Adhd here and I just to end it, all thanks to selfish fucks who had nothing better to do than pass down genes
ADHD is not a curse. Hell, it’s probably not even a bad thing it’s just that the world has been built for neuro”typical” people and, even though it doesn’t work for them either, it makes you feel bad.
You aren’t broken. All this other bullshit, on the other hand…
On the other hand, 6 years in the industry and every actually good software engineer seems to have ADHD. I'm sure this is similar in some other careers too. So maybe it's less of a curse and more of a... Side-step from the norm?
There's this innate curiosity and tendency to learn a lot more than strictly necessary, that seems to come with ADHD.
So I'll have trouble doing the dishes, but it also seems that sometimes I can solve multiple difficult problems in one sitting, essentially do a week worth of work in one night.
