In a New York cut, 1/3 of a pizza is 2 slices.
I will never get how you allow to sell pieces of pizza. In Italy a pizza is to be eaten fully.

Only in Naples maybe. Roman style pizza is basically only sold in slices. Square slices to be more precise.
I can assure you the entirety of Southern Italy does it, not just Naples
