That really is what the politically aware conservatives say. They don't like Trump so they either stay home or hold their nose and vote for him...
"he's still not a Democrat"
When you talk to Trump fans they are totally unaware of any news outside of Fox and their FaceBook echo chamber. So yeah, they gotta get some personal pain to understand.
And even then I don't think they would. They'll blame the pain Trump's administration and the Republican's are inflicting on them on Democrats and continue to vote Republican. The Republican's are their team, their families team, their coworkers team, their entire communities team.
