Yes but we have a society wide peer pressure system called 'arranged marriage', which I'm fairly certain, is much more crazy and persuasive than any other community.

Your initial statement made zero mention of arranged marriages. All you said wasn’t you weren’t willing to marry and that can apply to any culture.
