Agent Smith: I'd like to share a revelation during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species. I realized that you're not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment but you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet. You are a plague, and we are the cure.

Humans are cancer and has given earth stage four cancer. No worries for the planet tho because she'll just get a major dose of radiation treatment to remove the disease and become healthy again. She's been through worse.

If invasive species are species that are introduced to an environment and cause severe disruption to habitats and existing species then it sounds like almost every species was invasive at some point

I hate this kind of doomerism so much.

I know it’s just a shower thought, which are meant to be kinda flawed and reductive, but it’s just such a reckless dismissal of everything we’ve accomplished as a species.

Also technically humans invented the idea of an invasive species. Otherwise it'd just be nature taking its course.
