When I was a kid, we used to coax wild anoles into biting our ear lobes and wearing them around like earrings. Maybe the kitty is doing the same as a labret piercing.
I hope this cat can live a pain free life. I heard the short leg breeds have terrible joint issues later in life.
They have a higher rate of arthritis, but they're significantly healthier overall than comparable dog breeds like Dachshunds or Corgis.
