A dedicated button for the camera is something good that I use but I would love to see these two things:

  1. The button placed in an easy to reach area of the phone.

  2. The option to map different camera functions to it. Press for a photo, double press for video, hold for selfie, etc.

Even better would be, to be able to program it for anything, not only camera usage (Apple doesn't allow apps on Appstore with usage other than for camera control)

What's the point though? You can already double-tap the power button to open the camera and use the volume buttons to trigger it.

Sure it's something a bit different, but if this is all they've got to announce...

I'm the caveman brain who needs this. They made this specifically for me

I want buttons all the way around the screen. They could be capacitive, or part of the screen. Something I can program, like the Blackberry and Treo had. The home screen idea sucks, why can't I have programmable buttons in the 21st century?

or part of the screen

So... on-screen buttons?

I used to have a HTC phone with a physical camera button, it was great

Sooo we back to 2013?

I'd prefer them announcing proper update support.
