Reminder that the NFL immediately capitulated to the Nazi's and you should not be watching the Super Bowl except via free, pirated streams that serve them no revenue.

Honestly, Athletic’s IPA is pretty good.

They’ve got a bunch of solid ones. They have a cerveza that I think is a good substitute for negra modelo. After developing a health issue, I had to cut out alcohol and really missed having an occasional beer until I found out about this place. I keep a subscription going so I can get their seasonal selections when they come out, which are all pretty decent. The only one I’m not crazy about is the stout, but thankfully Guinness 0 is amazing when I’m craving that.

Isn't nonalcoholic booze an oxymoron?

[–] nickwitha_k@lemmy.sdf.org 5 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

Not really. Just needs to be barley, hops and yeast.

EDIT: Misread "booze" as "beer". I would agree that booze seems to imply intoxication. Non-alcoholic spirits do exist though and are pretty awesome if one enjoys the sensory experience of cocktails but wants to avoid intoxication for whatever reason.

I would say calling it booze is the problem, not calling it beer.

"Booze," at least to me, implies you'll get drunk if you drink it. Plenty of people can have a beer and not even get tipsy.

Just looking up the definition of the word, 'intoxicating' and 'alcoholic' is what dictionaries use to describe it.

Yeah. Agreed. I misread as "non-alcoholic beer".
