It would be cool if we get to hear from the version of the Doctor that was in "Living Witness." I think the timeframe would be about right.

Yeah, it's definitely possible that Picardo could play both versions of the character, even if it's just for a single episode.
But the full-time version on "Academy" will be the original, not the "Living Witness" backup.
We will never be rid of Kurtzman will we? Picardo will probably be dressed in all black, talk in a super serious monotone voice, never smile, and be a super cybernetic king fu ninja samurai master because he has been upgraded with these programs over the years.
Yeah you really nailed it. Just like he was on "Prodigy."
Glorious use of sarcasm.
In terms of writing, they really captured him well on Prodigy, though he was almost entirely a comic relief character.
Looks-wise, he definitely triggered the uncanny valley and was one of the worse aesthetic adaptations of a legacy character in that show. In general, there are some unintentionally terrifying officers on that show.
I do have to say that was one thing Lower Decks did well - when they brought on a legacy character, they were aesthetically recognizable, but never a caricature.
