This is probably going to be unpopular, but for some reason, I've always found such a patriotic superhero really cringe and it always turned me off. It's like Canada is trying to imitate the U.S. with Captain America.
Also, what happens when your country's leader becomes something like Donald Trump? What does such a superhero represent then? How can you still support Captain America at that point if he represents American values? Or do MAGAts see Captain America as woke now? How does that even work with these people? And why should such asuperhero be a white man? Why not a native? Why not a woman? (See Captain America: Brave New World for example)
We can see how this became a problem with Captain America. The actor who plays Captain America in Brave New World, Anthony Mackie, himself said that the character's values did not currently represent America. And right now we all pretty much dissappointed the U.S. because of the bullshit they're pulling right now.
I rather have a superhero(ine) who have their own individual identity and is not tied to a nation.
